Collection of short prayers

Morning Prayer

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen. "Jesus, Mary, Joseph", I open my eyes to your sanctuary, without seeing or thinking of impure sights. I rise in the name of Jesus Christ. My Lord, as I rise from this bed, help me to rise, abandoning all sins and not to fall into sin again. Lord, just as you gave me clothes to cover my body, bless me with the gift of your favour for the adornment of my soul. I offer all my actions, joys and sorrows of today to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen. Prayer of the Precious Blood of Jesus (bowing head) May the Precious Blood that flows from the Holy Head of Jesus, the throne of divine wisdom, the sacred of heavenly knowledge, the sunshine of heaven and earth, now and always cover us. Amen.

Prayer of Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, love; where there is hurt, patience; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is joy, joy, and where there is darkness, light. Lord, rather than seeking comfort from others, grant me the grace to comfort others, to understand them even if they do not understand me, and to love them even if they do not love me. For it is when we give that we receive, and when we forgive others, we receive forgiveness. It is by dying to self that we are reborn into eternal life. (St. Francis of Assisi).

The Prayer of the Holy Cross

Oh! O God, our Saviour, Jesus Christ, you died on the cross for our sins. V. O Cross, be my true light. O!
V. Cross, fill my soul with good thoughts. O! V. Cross, free me from all evil. O! V. Cross, save me from all dangers and from sudden death. Grant me eternal life. O! Crucified Jesus of Nazareth, have mercy on me now and always. For the venerable honour of the blood, death, resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life, we believe that Jesus was born on Christmas Day, that he hung on the cross and died on Good Friday, that Nicodemus and Joseph took down the body of the Lord from the cross and buried him, and that he ascended into heaven. Protect me from all enemies, visible and invisible. Lord Jesus, have mercy on me. Mother of God, Father Saint Joseph, pray for me. Give me the strength to bear the cross without fear through the suffering of your cross. Give me the grace to follow you. Amen.

Family Consecration for the First Friday of the Month

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, so merciful and sweet towards mankind, we prostrate ourselves before you. We thank you with grateful love for all the benefits and good deeds you have done for us. O Jesus, so that Your will may be fulfilled in the way You have revealed to us, and that the kingdom of Your Sacred Heart, worthy of worship, may spread rapidly in our land, we now renew with the greatest fervour the consecration that our entire family has made to You, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph. May our home, like that of Your Holy Family of Nazareth, be an inviolable abode of honour, devotion, order, and peace. Be You the perfect model of our lives and a steadfast guardian in all things. O Jesus, object of holy love, we offer You all the joys and sorrows of our family life. We fervently implore You to shower Your precious blessings upon those in this family, upon those who are far from here, upon the living, and upon the dead. We entrust ourselves to the protection of your
heart forever. If anyone in this family has had the misfortune to abandon your holy love, we also make reparation for his sin. We pray to you, Jesus, in the name of your Sacred Heart, to accept our reparation and bless all families throughout the world. May your divine kingdom quickly be established not only in the Catholic families that are yours, but also in the families of the heretics who have separated from your true Church and of the unbelievers who do not know you. May you look upon children. May you protect the churches of students and the vocation of girls and boys. May you be comfort to the sick, help to the elderly, refuge to widows, and father to orphans. May you yourself be the guardian over the heads of the sick and those in the throes of death. Especially, O Jesus, ocean of grace and love, we pray to You to help us at the hour of our death. At that time, unite us with Your Divine Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Your glorious Mother. Then be our refuge, refuge and solace. O Jesus, grant that, after each of us has fallen asleep in Your bosom, our entire family may seek refuge in Your Divine Heart in the joy of salvation. Amen. (It would be desirable to recite this prayer every time you recite the Rosary of the Sacred Heart)

Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, (To be recited on the First Saturdays. Renew the consecration every day.)

O Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, O Lady of Fatima! I consecrate myself, my family, the Church, and the human race to the Immaculate Heart of Your Mother. Keep us under your powerful protection. Be our Lord and Protector. Save us from all dangers and afflictions, spiritual, physical, and mental. Help us, O Lord of mercy, our loving Mother, to find and fulfil the will of God in all things, and to live in a way pleasing to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and to reach Heaven, Amen. O Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us. O Lord of the Sacred Heart, pray for us.

Bless all our endeavours, sanctify our joys, and comfort us in our sorrows. Forgive us if any of us have offended You. Bless abundantly those in this family and those who are far from here. (Bring our deceased family members into eternal happiness.) Protect us from all spiritual and physical dangers as we approach heaven to see You. Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel

(This prayer is an exact translation from the Latin, but the meaning is slightly different in Malayalam. Please note) O Archangel Michael, mighty prince of the heavenly hosts, help us in our battle against the powers and authorities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against the spirits of evil in high places. Come to the aid of those whom God created in His own image and redeemed at great cost from the cruel rule of the devil. The Church loves and adores you as her guardian and protector. You are the one who is appointed to lead the souls that the Lord has saved to heaven. Therefore, pray to the God of peace to crush the devil under our feet. May the devil never again subjugate men or harm the Church. May the Lord's mercy be upon us quickly, and may he be brought before the Most High, and may he be bound and cast into hell, that evil beast and old serpent, Satan and his demons. May he never again deceive the nations. Amen. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Bless everyone to lead a holy family life in accordance with the values of the Gospel. May our families, like the Holy Family of Nazareth, walk the path of holiness and experience heavenly joy. Amen.

St.Louis de Montfort's Prayer to Jesus

Most loving Jesus, mercifully allow me to express the gratitude that overflows in my heart. For through the devotion of holy servitude, you gave me your mother. How many are the graces you have bestowed upon me through her, O Lord, and my mother is my sure intercessor before you. In my most grievous afflictions,
the Holy Virgin is my great refuge. Alas! OH my God, if it were not for this loving Mother, I should have been very unfortunate. I should have perished indeed. Yes, Mary must be near you and everywhere for me, to appease your righteous anger. For I offend you. May your holy mother save me from the eternal destruction which I deserve according to your justice. May Mary meditate on you, may she speak to you, may she pray to you, may she approach you, may she please you. May Mary help me to save my soul and the souls of others. In short, Mary is necessary to me so that I may always do Your divine will and attain Your supreme glory. Could I go and proclaim throughout the world the great mercies You have shown me? If only every man knew that without Mary, I would be in eternal perdition! Could I express the gratitude due to so great a blessing? Mary is in me. Oh! Inexhaustible treasure, oh! What a great consolation! Shall I be entirely without her? Oh! What a great ingratitude! My dear Saviour, let me die rather than be in this great danger! For if I were entirely without Mary, I would rather die. St. John the Apostle, standing at the foot of the Cross, received her as my Mother a thousand times and gave me to her as many times. If I have not yet fulfilled my consecration in the way that You desire, dear Jesus, I renew this consecration in the way that You desire. Dear Jesus, if You see anything in my soul or body that is not consecrated to this glorious Queen, remove it far from me. If there is anything in me that is not Mary's, O Lord, it is not pleasing to You. O Holy Spirit, grant me all these blessings. Plant in my soul the true tree of life that is Mary. Nurture and nourish it. May it grow and blossom and bear abundant fruit of life. O Holy Spirit, grant me great devotion to Mary, your faithful spouse. Grant me deep faith in the maternal heart of your Holy Mother. Help me to seek refuge in the mercy of the Divine Mother. May she thereby raise me to the perfection of the great and powerful Jesus. Amen.

Summary and prayer that Jesus taught St. Sr.Gertrude

Jesus taught St. Sr. Gertrude a prayer that is sufficient to overcome or transcend any crisis that hinders the flow of God's grace to us. Even if our problems are as big as mountains or as high as peaks, they are just like a grain of sand in the sight of God. When compared to His glory or power, any of our difficulties is nothing. In Mark 12:24 & 27, we read, "You are mistaken because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. .............You are in great error." If you recite this prayer many times with faith, you and your family will be sanctified. God desires the sanctification of us and our families. How can prayer not be answered when the family is sanctified? The Lord said to St. Sr. Gertrude, "Every time this prayer is said, I bring one thousand (1000) souls from Purgatory to Heaven.
It leads one thousand (1000) sinners in the world to repentance."

To Saint Sr. Gertrude

The prayer taught by the Lord Eternal Father! I offer you the Precious Blood of your Son, which is offered to you this day in the Divine Sacrifices offered throughout the month of Lent, for all the souls in Purgatory, for all the sinners in the world, for the sinners of the universal Church, and for my family. Amen.

Binding Prayer

St. Matthew 8:16 He cast out the unclean spirits with his word and healed all who were sick. 1) Sign of the Cross 2) Creed Lord Jesus, I praise you. I worship you. I thank you. I confess and confess that you are my Saviour, Lord, and God, Lord Jesus (Romans 10:9). I forever reject sin, the ways of sin, the devil, and his glory. I confess and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as my only Saviour, Lord, and God, in my heart and in my soul. (Acts 16:31). Lord Jesus, fill us, our homes, our possessions, and those we have with the protection of Your Name (Mark 16:17), Your Blood (1 John 1:7), and Your Holy Cross (Col. 2:15). Cover us with Your Blood and protect us, and seal us with Your Holy Cross. In the authoritative name of the Lord Jesus, who said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me" (St.Matthew 28:18), I command you, by the power and authority of Your Body, Your Blood, and Your Holy Cross, over all evil influences, powers of darkness, demonic spirits, and all their activities and afflictions, "Get away, Satan" (St.Matthew 4:10). Jesus commanded, "Get away, Satan." From us, from our homes, from our fields of activity, from all the obstacles and bonds that we experience, you....... I command you in the name of the Lord Jesus to leave your home and go to the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ. Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. I rebuke and cast out all kinds of evil influences, powers and spirits under the eternal authority of the
Lord Jesus, who said in Luke 10:19 that nothing will harm you. Surrender, Satan, to the supreme authority of Jesus, the Creator and Lord of all power, glory and worship in heaven and on earth. (St.Matthew 4:10). Flee in fear before the Almighty Lord Jesus Christ. (St.Mark 5:7-8) We rebuke and cast out all demonic forces and spirits that are working against us and that are harming us, knowingly or unknowingly, in the name of the Lord Jesus. All evil forces that are harming us physically, mentally, and emotionally, all diseased spirits that cause diseases and problems, all evil feelings, all evil forces that are behind bad passions, division, discord, strife, and wickedness, and the devil, the source of all evil and deception, and all his armies, in the name of the Lord Jesus (St.Luke 9:1), we rebuke and submit at the foot of the cross of Jesus. We command you in the name of the Lord Jesus to never again harm us, our people, or our actions. "'Holy Mother, St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, St. O Venerable Geevarghese, V. Benedict, by the authority that God has given you over the powers of the devil (Rev. 20:12), bind the evil beast and the old serpent, Satan, and all his followers, and cast them down into the abyss, and seal them, so that he and his followers may no longer harm us. O Holy Mother, V. Michael, may all the angels keep us under your special protection. Amen.' "O Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven, to whom God has given authority over the powers of hell, crush under your feet all the powers of hell that are persecuting the Holy Church, us, and the human race, Amen.' 2 Thess. 3:3 "The Lord will strengthen you and keep you from the evil one."
